boys. :littles…just a wink:

i don’t blog fall families prior to thanksgiving in case i spill the beans on their holiday card…so here’s a teeny wink at two little boys that i photographed this month…more of them later…

indecision. the photo-alphabet. :personal:

it is a constant battle…chicken or beef…chai or white mocha…jeggings or tights…shoot vertical or horizontal…boots or ballerina flats…this new scarf or that one…this image of them smiling or that one…oh, decisions…indecisions…

it recently became painfully aware to me that this problem is a full-fledged epidemic that is sucking the time & creativity right out of me…but how do i decide what to do with my indecision…

and for someone that knows what she wants, goes out to get it, won’t take no for an answer, is not intimidated easily & keeps the focus on the prize despite the closed doors & time barriers…this is a problem…this indecision…

finally, i had to face it…someone asked me why…and i didn’t know…and i realized…indecision is an illness caused by a lack of complete confidence…and i’m confident that it is also combined with a smidge of greed…just ask my closet…and my two new scarves…

so, i’m deciding to be decisive…because i’m too confident to be timid…and indecisive…although i do believe that variety is in fact one of the main ingredients in the spice of life & i’m going to try harder to think of things as options instead of throwing in the proverbial towel and refusing to decide…

olivia is making a photo-alphabet at school.  each week i get a piece of paper with the letter of the week & what she needs to bring a picture of.  of course, being the literal person that i am + a photographer = i immediately imagine that i can only bring in a photograph…so we find a is for apple & the photo-alphabet a la olivia is born…

then, this week, her teacher threw me for a loop…g is for girl…hmmm, tricky…very tricky…

i thought about baby dolls…the word “girl”…even holding harper.  we tried a few things…O liked them all…i couldn’t decide…but finally, i decided…olivia holding a baby girl doll & olivia holding the sign for girl/female…then print them…final result…olivia holding both….i decided…i love it…!!!
