the meegenius! children’s books app for ipad, iphone, & ipod…it’ll save your sanity!!!
andrew got me a shiny new 64gig ipad yesterday…complete with 3g + wifi because we are getting at&t any day now!!! i scoured the app store for some good childrens apps that didn’t include shooting birds or designing cupcakes-we already have those…and i found this one! it reads stories to your children, shows the text & highlights the words as it reads, and shows illustrations! as i prepared dinner last night, the girls sat at the dining room table and read beatrix potter & hans christian anderson…and were happy together with no movie or cartoon or plasma car or wwf-style wrestling-which we will get to soon…YAY!!!

wow…i’m home after a busy & super fun week in new orleans!!! i had such a great time…made lots of new friends at the conference… shot with some photographers that really know their stuff!!! the best part of coming home you ask? well,i caught all of my stand-by flights home… andrew put together my new desk in it’s entirety…we now have a nice, hot fireplace in the living room…my floor-ceiling grey, velvet curtains look pretty sexy hanging in my bedroom…my closet has all new organized, color coordinated wood hangers…the mess from the fall hay bails on the porch vanished…the entire house was perfectly clean…perfection, thanks to andrew!!! of course, above all, i woke up to two little princesses…asking me what i brought back for them. in case you’re wondering…they got books… mardi gras masks… pink NOLA LOVE t-shirts from jean therapy… a few games… & harper got a gumby bendy doll thing…they cleaned up quite nicely if i do say so myself!
livi has a raspy voice, so i kept her home from school today to snuggle in bed & play lego’s…we went for ice cream…played with their new toys…and then livi asked if she could put harper down for her nap today. i shouldn’t have been suprised since last week she diapered harper twice after a round of potty trianing efforts…it was heart melting. i put harper in bed & ran downstairs to get my camera…livi read a few books to her…gave harper her sleep lovies…turned on her humidifier… pulled the cord on her music box…as i was coming in with my camera to grab a shot of this darling event, i caught her giving harper a kiss good-night…perfection…i am so blessed!
more on my nola adventures…craziness…hard work…& the friends that i made soon…

i’m pre-blogging so that i can still wake up to these faces while i’m away…
it’s my second day in NOLA & i know by now i’m really going to be missing these little faces…
while i’m away, i’m sure you’ll feel like doing this on occasion…
and maybe even switch it up a bit for movie night in bed…with stories after of course…
i’m sure this one is giving you a run for your money…and pulling you around everywhere…
hopefully you’ll be able to laugh at yourselves…be silly… and have tons of fun…

I LOVE these pics of your family just being who they are! It really makes me want to come visit you! What a precious, precious family you have! I miss you!!
i’ll be in new orleans, la this week at a workshop…i am really excited to spend the week with one of my besties & getting to shoot with some of my favorite photographers…
