definitely the best birthday yet… it was a trifecta of radness to get to spend my birthday at the beach, with my littles, & getting sprinkles cupcakes!

thank you everyone that sent me birthday wishes!  it was a wonderful day!

head shots.

for the past two years i have taken the class photos for olivia’s preschool.  i’m not really a “class photo” type of photographer, but i will do anything for her school, so i give it my best… shot.  this year i had a new request… individual head shots of the three, four, & five-year-olds… yikes!  again, i will do anything for her school, so i formulated a quick plan & we filed the little darlings through for a quick natural light head shot for the parents’ sake.  this was olivia’s… for her own professional photographer mother… insert hilarious, uncontrollable laughter + slight embarrassment!  i never ask a child to smile, so maybe i should have yelled “cheeseburger” or made funny sounds for them.

i can’t show all of the results, but i will share that most of them were equal parts darling & amusing!  they were so cute & behaved just like littles that are trained to sit still for a portrait… some forced smiles, some gave me an inquisitive glare, some smiled so big their eyes disappeared, and there was a combination of other funny smile-type looks!  i tried my best because i am giving any money made to the school as a donation… and i do hope the parents know that i love to phototgraph littles… i’m just not really the best at the totally posed, forced smile head shot.  maybe next year i’ll be more ready with stations & funny noises when we do the class photos… we’ll see!  i’ll do anything for that school!

birthday goodies.

ok, i know… i promised you some birthday goodies!  i’m going to have to hold off on that until next week because i just can’t get it together to decide exactly what & how i’m going to work this thing… it’s been one of those months!  come back & i’ll have a my-belated-birthday  goodie-give-away & even a casting call so i can practice some of my rad new skills on you!!!
